2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz – Will the 2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz be finally produced? There have been rumors about the new stylish and futuristic design of the Santa Cruz for 2018 model – mostly because of the unique rounded design and the short but full size bed as the crew cab pickup truck. As if it weren’t enough, there has been a rumor concerning the possible 2019 design and production, starting from now. So, what to expect from the new Santa Cruz, anyway?
2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz Updates
There has been a confirmation that Hyundai has been giving the green light for the production of the 2019 model. Although there hasn’t been any confirmation about how the new 2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz will look like – considering there hasn’t been any prototype about the release and there hasn’t any sightings of the testing stage at this point – a lot of people have predicted that the 2019 model will highly be likely the 2018 model.
A while back, Hyundai has introduced a concept ride that was claimed to be the new 2018 model – but again, they haven’t mentioned the details of it. The overall construction and design are similar to the Ridgeline from Honda but it is said that the Santa Cruz is better in terms of power, handle, comfort, and overall performance.
Considering that the concept gained quite a positive response and feedback when it was introduced to the public, it is highly likely that Hyundai will keep it that way up to the 2019 model’s production.
2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz Design
Although it hasn’t been clear whether Hyundai will stay with the 2018 model, a lot of auto enthusiasts are quite sure that Hyundai will do it. And if the 2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz has made into the production mode, some things may change a bit – such as the headlights and the grille. It is possible that the side sculpt will have a slight change – but not too much, though.
The construction will likely share with the Tucson crossover platform which will enhance the comfort inside the cabin as well as the driving performance. Not to mention that there is bigger cargo capacity – definitely bigger than the SUV.
For the interior cabin, the basic design will also be based on the Tucson but with the additional infotainment system and also the latest safety features, you can definitely expect the best from the new Santa Cruz.
2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz Engine
Nothing for sure can be confirmed about the engine arrangement for the new 2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz although some people predict that the turbo-diesel engine as well as the petrol will be made possible for the 2019 model.
Although it is not a sure thing yet, it is possible that the new 2019 model will be coming with turbodiesel four cylinder unit – with expected output like the Genesis. With auto transmission and both the front wheel and all wheel driving system, the output should be promising.
The 2019 model will likely debut during Detroit or Los Angeles Motor Show in 2018, followed by production at the last quarter 2018. Starting price of 2019 Hyundai Santa Cruz is likely around $25,000.
