2018 Honda Fit – Everyone knows that the Fit is a subcompact vehicle from Honda with a decent performance and quite an interesting design, but what can you expect from the 2018 Honda Fit, anyway? Well, the 2018 has been set as the mid cycle period for the company to make some changes on the vehicle – whether in construction, design, and also power. So, what can you expect from the new Fit, for the updated news?
2018 Honda Fit: The Exterior Look
If you take a look at the image of the upcoming 2018 Honda Fit, you can tell that it has been going through the redesigned cycle. You probably won’t notice the difference from the back but the front side is definitely changing. The changes are made to make the Fit look similar to other models – still from Honda – like the Civic.
If you take a closer look, you will see that the grille design alone, for example, is coming with a new design of two piece shape with chrome and piano black accents. And let’s not forget that there will be new designs for the wheel too. You can choose the different trims, but the overall length of the ride will sit in between 1.4 inches and 1.8 inches. Again, it depends on your trim option.
For the new 2018 Honda Fit, new and fresh colors will be available: orange and yellow. Considering that Fit is designed as the little but joyful and fun vehicle, the colors should be able to reflect it. These two color palettes are doing such a good work conveying the mood and atmosphere. It may not be the strongest sporty muscle car but it is definitely a fun and adorable vehicle.
2018 Honda Fit: The Interior Comfort
Unlike the exterior side, the interior may not get too many updates. But there will be a new infotainment system with the Display Audio technology and the 7 inch dimension. And what’s cool about this new technology from 2018 Honda Fit is the fact that it has the volume knob – it may be old school but it is super handy and nice. Another good news is that there will be the Sport trim, sitting in between the LX and the EX. Of course, the features will depends on the level of trim you choose.
2018 Honda Fit: The Engine
For the new Fit, only one engine is available. It is the I4 engine with 1. 5 liter capacity, delivering 130 hp of power and 114 Nm of torque. It is paired with the manual six speed but if you prefer the CVT, the output will be reduced to 128 horsepower with 113 Nm of torque.
2018 Honda Fit Release Date and Price
The 2018 Honda Fit release date will probably happen in July 2017 – the exact date is still unknown. For the price, the starting price is around $16,000 for the base trim while the highest one will probably reach $20,000. After all, the 2018 Honda Fit is an affordable ride (designed for urban use) but don’t expect it to have a super powerful sporty performance.
